Trey Maxwell joined the partnership at
Schmidt Westergard & Company in spring
2004 after six years in the
partner/director group of Deloitte &
Touche LLP in Phoenix. During his
career, Trey has served as a corporate
tax director and in that capacity has
successfully established three tax
departments.
He specializes in virtually all aspects
of tax service – from compliance,
planning and information reporting to
mergers and acquisitions and SFAS 109
analysis for a broad base of industries,
including real estate, technology and
healthcare, and exempt organizations.
Trey is a member of the American
Institute of Certified Public
Accountants and the Arizona Society of
Certified Public Accountants. He has
been treasurer of the Arizona Technology
Industry Development Association, a
member of the Arizona Association of
Health Care Lawyers and the Homebuilders
Association of Central Arizona, and
two-term treasurer of Scottsdale
Jaycees.
He holds degrees from Arizona State
University where he graduated summa
cum laude with a Masters of
Accountancy (Tax).
In his spare time, Trey indulges in a
number of right-brained hobbies,
including the creative pursuit of short
film making. He is an avid student of
music and pop culture and can hold his
own with anyone when it comes to movies.
